Delete your Duekeep account
This page explains how to delete your Duekeep account (developer: Qing Zhao) and the data associated with it. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone.
Delete it in the app
- Open Duekeep and make sure you're signed in.
- Go to Settings, tap your profile, then Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are removed right away.
If you no longer have the app
You can still request deletion without reinstalling. Email qzhao.love.liaoning@gmail.com from the email address on your Duekeep account, with the subject "Delete my Duekeep account." We'll verify it's you and delete the account, normally within a few days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — display name and email.
- Every home you solely own and everything inside it: areas, services (scheduled tasks) and their activity history, items (inventory), and any photos you added to tasks or items.
- Your device notification token.
- Your sign-in credentials (Google, Apple, or email link) for Duekeep.
Delete some of your data, and keep your account
You don't have to delete your account to remove data. In the app you can delete any of these yourself, and each is removed right away:
- A photo — open the task or item, tap Edit, tap the photo, then Remove photo, and save.
- A task and its history — open the task, tap ⋮, then Delete service. Its activity log and photo are deleted with it.
- A single log entry — open the task and delete the entry from its history.
- An item — open the item and tap the trash icon. Its photo is deleted with it.
- A whole home — Settings → Homes, then delete it. Remove its tasks, areas and items first; you always keep at least one home.
Prefer us to do it? Email the address above from your account's email, and say what you'd like removed.
Shared homes
If you share a home with other people and you're its owner, ownership is transferred to another member when you delete your account, so the household keeps its data. If you only joined someone else's home, you're simply removed from it. Homes that only you use are deleted entirely.
Data retention
Deletion is immediate and permanent — we don't keep your account data afterward. Routine encrypted backups expire on their normal short cycle and are not restored. There is no additional retention period.
